Suzie is a licensed professional counselor (LPC). She received her bachelor degree in art studio from Mary Baldwin College, Staunton, Virginia, and her Masters in Marriage, Family & Child Counseling & Art Therapy from the college of Notre Dame, Belmont, California. After completing her internship through Stanford University at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alta, California, she has worked at The Children’s Hospital Colorado for the past 18 years. Most recently, Suzie earned her graduate certificate in Animal Assisted Interactions from the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work. This particular training allows her to incorporate her own therapy dogs in counseling sessions.
